Friends
of Blythe Hill Fields (FBHF) is a voluntary community group that
was established in October 2003. Its mission is to promote
the increased use, access to and enjoyment of Blythe Hill Fields in the
London Borough of Lewisham for local residents and other users of this
essential open space. The Friends liaises with partners such as Lewisham
Borough Council, in order to maintain existing facilities as well as develop
and install new ones.
The Friends meet on a bi-monthly basis and meetings are open to anyone
who has an interest in Blythe Hill Fields. Notices about forthcoming
meetings and previous minutes are posted in the Blythe
Hill Fields notice board and previous minutes can be found in Downloads. Friends'
Meetings are an opportunity for all local residents and regular users
of the Fields to get involved in the Blythe Hill Fields project and meet
other residents who have a shared interest. The Friends are
always keen for more people to attend on a regular basis and ensure that
any plans and decisions are truly representative.
The
Friends has a Constitution,
Chair, Secretary and a committee who are elected annually by the Friend.
The Committee meets in between the Friends meetings to manage the work
of the members and to take ideas and suggestions forward.
As part of the on-going promotion of the Fields and the Friends, the Committee
is keen to develop a range of projects and activities in and around the
Fields that are suitable for all ages, see Events
for more details and to see what activities you could join in!
